Badlands National Park, South Dakota, established in 1939 is located in southwestern South Dakota and consists of sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles and spires in the middled of great expanse of protected mixed grass prairie land. It is rugged, beautiful, desolate and draws visitors from around the world.
